Our story: I met my husband at Central Michigan University during tailgating for a football game. It must have been fate since I hadn't started attending college there yet, and it was my first time visiting the area. He was so cute and charming that I went home that night to be the first to call him. Every since then we have spent everyday talking, and many road trips to see each other. We've spent many college nights together with friends that are still are close friends today. One summer after Justin graduated from college and moved back home, I was invited to stay at his parents house until school began in August. During that summer, I got to spend everyday with Justin, build great relationships with his parents, and dogs, and Justin even proposed to me.
In August 2011, Justin got a job as a teacher in Kansas, so we relocated to Garden City. We've had some difficult times with moving so far away in such short notice, planning a wedding, and getting me through the rest of my college program. But we did it! Shortly after our wedding in August 2012, and us starting year number 2 (our last year) in Garden City, we found out I had a bun in the oven! Our world has completely changed, and with all the excitement and distance from family during this pregnancy, I began using my chalkboard tracker and blog.
Our first daughter, Zoey, was born on May 28th 2013 and 9:50am. About two weeks after our little peanut was born, we moved back to Michigan to be closer to family. We plan to stay in Michigan as long as we are able to find teaching jobs. But for now, we are enjoying our summer, and love watching our sweet little girl grow!
